Getting a Library Card

Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.

If you are a resident of Springville or the surrounding unincorporated areas you can be issued a library card from the Springville Library.  There are just a few simple steps you need to take.

  • Complete an application
  • Bring a photo ID and proof of current residential address (not a PO Box).

Once you do these things you will be given a library card right away!

Children cards will be given to any child 5 years or older at the discretion of their parents/legal guardian.  Children under 14 must have a parent or guardian sign the application form.  Responsibility for a child's selection and return of materials, and any fines or charges accrued on the child's card, is held by the parent or guardian.

Non-Residents are also allowed to get a library card, the same policies as above apply.  Cards for non-residents will expired after 6 months.

  • For the first 3 months of having a card there is a limit of 5 items at a time. (2 of which may be DVDs or books on CD).
  • Patrons with a history of lost, damaged, or late items are also limited to 5 items. (2 of which may be DVDs or books on CD).
  • Patrons under the age of 14 are limited to 10 items. (2 of which maybe be DVDs).
  • All other patrons are limited to 50 items.
